[That’s a wrap for our Sustainable Christmas Party!]

Together with Macau Society of Food & Environmental Health, we had a full house at the Sustainable Christmas Party today! Thank you everyone for supporting a “zero-waste” festive celebration!

For the party, we had handmade taro balls and herbal jelly from 圓芋圓 and custom made Basque cheesecake from Eugenia’s Kitchen. They are all served in large containers – for participants to collect their own food portion – and served in reusable dinnerware!

All the materials used in making the handicrafts were recycled and upcycled to create value-added Christmas decorations. Each detail of our party is an effort to achieve SDG12 – Responsible Consumption and Production:
– Wood slice painting made from salvaged camphor log – which is naturally pest-proofing – collected after TyphoonHato struck Macau.
– Eco-friendly snow globes made from glass jars collected from the zero-waste living community in Macau and home; mini Christmas tree origamis and figures were made from recycled paper and product packaging; the snowflakes were made of scraps from a hole puncher.

Special thanks to 369 Co-opTown for the immaculate venue and A Natural for their beautiful performance. We hope to see you again next time!
