  • Mohammad

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jxPE…

Climate change is closely related to urban construction. Buildings result in around 39% of emissions causing climate change, of which 11% of those are in the form of embodied carbon in buildings. As the leading international organization in supporting sustainable buildings, the World Green Building Council strives to realize the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Genervision House is honoured to invite Mohammad Asfour, who was the former head of the MENA and Africa Regional Networks in the World Green Building Council, to share his experiences working on green buildings. Mohammad has over 10 years of working experience in this organization. If you are interested in working for the green construction industry or understanding sustainable city development, don’t miss out this video!

In this video we will share with you:

  • Situation in the MENA region
  • How the World GBC realize the SDGs
  • How coastal cities like Macau could develop into green cities
  • Mohammad’s green habits

Also, feel free to check out our previous video on how Mohammad participated in converting the Jordan Trail into eco-tourism as the board member of the Jordan Trail Association!

  • Mohammad

Everyone has probably watched the movie Star Wars before, but do you know that the movie was filmed in Jordan’s vast desert land? This desert has also been converted into a 40-day hiking trail called Jordan Trail, which brings ecotourism alive.

Genervision House is honoured to invite Mohammad Asfour, who is the board member of the Jordan Trail Association, to share his experiences and insights in converting the Jordan Trail into eco-tourism, and to share his adventurous experiences.

He has once discovered a small cave that is barely known to public during his journey, and the locals told him that it was a Roman copper mine where the Romans chopped the prisoners’ legs and exploited the prisoners to excavate copper.

In this video we will share with you:

  • The speciality of the Jordan Trail
  • How technology can be applied in ecotourism, such as the Jordan Trail app
  • How stakeholders of the desert ecotourism can be trained
  • The stories of Mohammad’s adventure
  • Future trend of ecotourism

The Ocean and I: Macau Ocean’s Past and Future: 2022 Macau Ocean Culture Festival Special

As we welcome the 3rd Macau Ocean Culture Festival, Genervision House is delighted to be invited by the History and Culture Association of Port of Macau to produce a video on exploring the relationship between the ocean and us. From the perspectives of Macau’s fishing industry, sustainable seafood, ocean economy, biodiversity loss and Macau’s food consumption culture, we at Genervision House as well as Joe Chan, an environmental educator, and Ruby O, Chairperson of the Society of Food and Environmental Health, share our insights on Macau’s ocean ecosystem.

Globally, our ocean is facing a multidimensional crisis caused by pollution, habitat loss, overfishing, invasive species, and climate change. The ocean economy is estimated to account for $2.3 billion per year in market goods and services. Besides, the ocean also has an important role in climate regulation. Unfortunately, Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water) is estimated to be the least invested of all the 17 SDGs. What can we do at the individual and policy levels? Don’t miss out the video!
